Who We Are
Seminar Translator is an academic reading platform that helps teachers and students engage with multilingual texts. It is operated by Yehonatan Yahav.
What Data We Collect
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this only to identify your account.
Content you create: Teachers may upload PDF documents, paste text, or import URLs as seminar materials. Students and teachers may add comments, audio recordings, and translations. This content is stored on our servers and associated with your account.
Usage data: We may log basic technical information (e.g. errors, page requests) for the purpose of maintaining and improving the service.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the platform
- To display your name to other participants in seminars you are enrolled in
- To process translations via the OpenAI API (text is sent to OpenAI for translation; see OpenAI's privacy policy)
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
Data Sharing
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure: supabase.com/privacy
- OpenAI — translation and study module generation: openai.com/privacy
- Google — sign-in: policies.google.com/privacy
We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.
Data Retention
Your account and content remain stored as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at contact@multireader-edu.com.
